Canadian passport photos are not the same as standard U.S. passport photos. Forrest Studio understands the precise Canadian sizing, composition, printing and back-of-photo requirements. One thing we also do are passport photos of children. Some photographers who offer Canadian Passports may not be setup to photograph young children, but we do! We have over 50 years as a portrait photographer, so we know how to pose you and light you perfectly. Even though it IS an ID photo, we still want to make it the best one you've ever had!

Something new is just showing upline - do it yourself / AI passport photos. Be careful - home selfies and AI-edited photos DO NOT satisfy the published Canadian passport rules.

Canadian passport photos must meet different requirements than standard U.S. passport photos and must be taken by a commercial photographer, like Forrest Studio. Most places in our area especially, such as pharmacies, shipping stores & similar businesses, do not provide photos made to Canadian specifications. U.S. Post Offices are also only setup now to do US passports. Forrest Studio carefully follows Canada’s requirements for photograph size, head size, lighting, background, printing, and studio identification.

WHY CHOOSE US?

Photo errors can delay passport and visa applications. At Forrest Studio, your passport photo receives the care and attention of an experienced portrait photographer.

Professional Studio Lighting & Camera Equipment

We use professional studio lighting and camera equipment to create clear, sharp photographs with even illumination and a clean background. We carefully position you and adjust the lighting to meet Canadian passport requirements while helping you look your best within the required neutral expression.

Carefully Checked to Canadian Specifications

We check head size, positioning, background, and print dimensions, and add the required studio information and date to the back of your photo. Canadian passport photos require a different format from standard U.S. passport photos, so choosing a studio familiar with the Canadian requirements matters.

Printed In-House While You Wait

Your photographs are professionally printed in our studio, usually in 10 minutes or less. We also welcome children and give families the patient attention needed for a correctly posed passport photo.

Photo Acceptance Guarantee

If your photographs are rejected for a technical reason related to sizing, background or other photo specifications, we’ll retake them free of charge. Although we have never had to retake them - we make sure it's done right, before you leave!
